At Caterpillar Life Coaching Centre, including our adult counselling services offered through KW Counselling, we offer a caring and supportive space for children and adults to feel heard, understood, and supported. We work gently with children through play and sandtray approaches, helping them express emotions in ways that feel natural and safe.
For adults, we provide individual, personal and trauma counselling, including support for deep and past trauma and Traumatic Incident Reduction, always at a pace that feels right for you.
Alongside counselling, we also offer training for adults, sharing practical tools that encourage healing, resilience, and personal growth. For over 30 years, we have been walking alongside individuals and families in one capacity or another on their journey toward healing and positive change.
Play is the natural language of children. Through play, children express feelings they may not yet have words for while supporting their emotional and social development. Play-based counselling creates a safe, familiar space where carefully chosen toys help children explore emotions and gently support positive change. (3yrs – Pre Teens)
Directive counselling is a verbal interactive form of therapy that is tailor
made for each child/teen depending on the presenting problem or current
issue at hand. It requires the child/teens response, engagement and focus. Various games, worksheets and other interactive mediums are used.
(Older Children and upwards)
Sandtray is a dynamic expressive form of counselling used when working with
children, teenagers, adults (incl. marital or pre-marital) and families, that allows clients to express their inner worlds through symbol and metaphor. It provides an experience that is active, nonverbal, indirect, and symbolic.
(All Ages)
Our trauma counselling services provide a safe and supportive space to process both critical incidents and past trauma at a pace that feels right for you. We offer critical incident debriefing following traumatic events, as well as ongoing support for deeper, unresolved experiences. With a specialisation in Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), we work gently and effectively to reduce the emotional impact of trauma and support long-term healing. (All Ages)
Individual and personal counselling offers a supportive, confidential space to explore life’s challenges, emotions, and personal experiences. Whether you are navigating stress, grief, life transitions, or seeking greater self-understanding, our work is tailored to your unique needs. Sessions are guided with care and respect, supporting clarity, resilience, and meaningful personal growth at your own pace.
(Adults)
Our training courses are designed to provide practical, hands-on learning for adults who want to deepen their understanding and skills when working with children and adults. These courses and workshops focus on real-world application, insight, and confidence-building. These programmes are ideal for parents, caregivers, educators, and support professionals seeking meaningful, usable tools rather than formal academic qualifications.
